The Nuclear Technology Education Consortium (NTEC) is a collaborative effort between the Universities of Birmingham, Central Lancashire, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, and the Nuclear Department, Navy Command. The distance learning units are delivered once per annum at a fixed time, creating a 'virtual classroom' experience for learners. The units are available online for a period of four months, giving learners the flexibility to study at their own pace and around their existing commitments.
