Triple Bar for Existing Sites

The Triple Bar Existing Sites (TBES) is a ‘three bar’ training course delivered online or via classroom which has been designed with industry involvement for you to complete before you start work on a nuclear licensed site. Course Overview The TBES introduces you to the requirements for compliance, nuclear awareness and industry behaviours for safe working in the nuclear industry. The TBES plays a fundamental part in making everyone in the nuclear industry aware of the impact that their actions have and role they have to help ensure we have, maintain and grow a UK nuclear industry for safe and continued operations. The TBES course comprises of three 'bars':

Bar One: Working in the nuclear industry In the first bar you will be provided with a basic knowledge of the nuclear industry and what is important to know if you are working in it.

Bar Two: Going on site In the second bar you will learn about some of the special arrangements you need to be aware of when you are working on a nuclear site such as strict security measures, emergency procedures and delivering the quality expected on a nuclear licensed site.

Bar Three: Safety on a nuclear site

In the final bar you will find out how you need to put safety into practice when you are working on a nuclear licenced site. Including:

• Behaving safely and recognising safe and unsafe conditions.

• Knowing the traits of a healthy safety culture and understanding common types of errors people make and the tools we use to avoid them.
  

Who should complete it? This course is ideal for anyone starting or transitioning into working on an existing nuclear site. Delivery The TBES is available online and via classroom delivery.
