Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver and manage technical studies on mechanical handling, powder technologies, and compaction and mechanical dismantling technologies.

• Design mechanical processes from strategic and conceptual phases to detailed design, construction, and commissioning phase support.

• Issue technical notes, substantiation notes, mechanical flow diagrams and flow sheets, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and mechanical layout drawings, and review technical specification documentation from the supply chain.

• Manage hazards and malfunctions, and provide technical expertise in mechanical handling for handling operations and heavy mechanical transfer systems.

Key Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience in engineering design, team management, and contractor follow-up in the nuclear industry or other regulated sectors.

• Experience in delivering mechanical studies, considering all aspects from manufacture to decommissioning.

• Recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the field of mechanical engineering.

• Experience in delivering projects for Sellafield or Magnox sites is desirable.
