What are the Fragile Roles
As part of the Nuclear Skill Strategy Groups (NSSG) Nuclear Workforce Assessment (NWA), the NSSG stated that the availability in the employment market could usually meet increased demand for skills. If the supply against a particular demand is more challenging, the skills are labelled as 'fragile skills'.
In other words, the nuclear industry is concerned that some of the demand for workers will not be met for specific capabilities. Therefore, there is an opportunity for people to upskill themselves to jobs that will have high demand - the fragile roles.
