Salary: £78.80 PAYE per day
Contract Duration: 5 months
About the role / project: In this role, you will be responsible for the administration in the shared service centre, more specifically the payroll services department within the time and attendance team. Alongside a team of 22 people, you will be assisting in delivering the 4-weekly payroll in an effective and efficient manner.
Your main responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) inputting a high volume of timesheet data into the payroll system. To document absence and sickness and calculating sick pay and annual leave and to be the first point of contact for any email queries. What you will do:
Develop an excellent understanding of the payroll process, terms and conditions of employment and the effect on payment
Accurately input large volumes of timesheet data into the payroll system
Be the first point of contact for any time & attendance queries while ensuring a high level of customer service
Deliver a right first time administration service within your team
Deliver quality administrative outputs to prevent rework
Update and maintain information held within the shared service centre, certify that when updating records on databases that the information you are entering is up to date and accurate
Work with others to support a culture of operational responsibility where individuals, take personal ownership for delivery

Working towards or educated to degree level or equivalent
Get Into Nuclear
This is a great opportunity for anyone with the experience or relevant job titles working in or a part of a payroll team. No nuclear experience is required.
Okay; so let's look at the six steps to get into nuclear:
#1 Know who you are: you have or are working towards a degree or equivalent, you have an eye for detail and experience of work with large amounts of details, working to deadlines and within a shared service environment.
#2 Know what you want: You are willing and able to work in Manchester City Centre and are happy taking a temporary role and a good rate of pay.
#3 Know the Business: this is quite a specific role but one that isn't specific to the nuclear industry so there are definitely opportunity to transfer skills from other industries into this role.
#4Know the Skills: as you can see none of the highlight requirements to land this role are highlighted as nuclear specific. Previous experience in the UK Nuclear Industry is not a pre-requisite or barrier to entry for this role.
It is always worth considering that you need to meet the vetting requirements as a minimum.
