Assystem are currently looking to recruit a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a high profile Nuclear Project within the Northwest.
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be required to support a team of designers to produce and check the associated manufacturing detail design of plant items (incl. Process and Instrument Cabinets).
The candidate will need to be familiar with design for manufacture deliverables and be able to produce relevant Calculations, Technical Specifications, O&M manuals, OIMS and Risk Assessment documents.
Minimum 5 years' experience of working within a highly regulated industry, preferably within the nuclear industry.
Suitably qualified and experienced to produce and check deliverables.
Familiarity with manufacturing / fabrication techniques and how this impacts design for manufacture is essential.
Experienced in the review of manufacturing detailed drawings.
Experienced in the production of calculations, technical specifications, O&M manuals, OIMS, Risk Assessment and DJR documents.
Familiar with the relevant standards and codes.
It is essential the candidate can manage their own workload and that of others and drive completion of the work scope independently against a demanding schedule.
The ability to communicate effectively with other team members and with other project stakeholders (internal and external).
Experience of working with Inventor as the design tool.
