About the Role

Key Accountabilities

  • Acts as a single point of the contact for the employees and managers in the designated business unit(s)

  • Negotiation and liaison with the Central Trade Unions Committee (CTUC).

  • Carries out the organisation capability review/succession planning and acts as required to develop, support business lines & employees.

  • Provides support on ER matters for your relative business lines including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, TUPE & restructuring exercises.

  • Attends and provides advice at formal meetings, as and when required, and to take notes during formal meetings and other investigatory meetings, also preparing case files, collating, and supporting managers in a clear manner.

  • Proactively looking at new initiatives to develop the business commercially to add value manages complex and difficult HR Projects cross-functionally

  • Builds a strong business relationship with the internal stakeholders

  • Actively identifies gaps, proposes, and implement changes necessary to cover risks

  • Acts as a recruitment partner where necessary

  • Challenges the organisational structure of the internal client and proposes changes

  • Analysis of key HR metrics for business lines on a monthly, quarterly, annual basis

  • Attends Board meetings with business lines

  • Delivering training and workshops to managers within the business

  • Works on HR improvement initiatives including wellbeing, inclusion and diversity programmes

Occupational Skills and Knowledge:

  • Level 5 CIPD qualified or equivalent HR Qualification or demonstrable HR Experience

  • Educated to GCSE level within English and Maths

  • Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree


Duties and Requirements

  • Experience of working as a HR professional with relevant partnering experience

  • Experience of advising managers & directors on a range of people matters (e.g. discipline, grievance, performance management, sickness absence, etc.)

The partner helps to develop and implement better people management practices through strategy & policy development alongside key stakeholders. The HRBP shares the responsibility for the goals and target delivery. The business partner is an experienced HR professional, who has a broad experience in various HR areas of expertise, including organisational development, succession planning and coaching leadership. The partner builds valuable relationships with internal stakeholders and completes requests and solutions to/from the business unit(s). The business partner adds value through partnering with their key stakeholders. Nuvia allow hybrid working so the role will be able to perform the role between the office and home.
